The Prep Squad Ornament Duo: Nantucket Basket Dogs and Bitsy & Tipsy Champagne Dogs
The two newest additions to our Willa Heart ornament collection, paired together. From summers on the Cape to a festive glass of bubbly, these pedigreed pups bring playful charm to chinoiserie Christmas trees, holiday wreaths, or year-round display on doorknobs and cabinet keys. Packaged together, they make an exceptional gift.
Nantucket Basket Dogs:Based on Willa Heart’s Tisket and Tasket painting, this pair of true-blue spaniels shares a penchant for Nantucket baskets. Handcrafted from 100% merino wool and embroidered on both sides in shades of blue and lilac, they measure 8.5" from top to tassel—slightly larger than our other Willa Heart ornaments. Look closely: Tisket holds a classic lightship basket with a whale detail, while Tasket’s boasts an heirloom scallop shell. Both wear tiny embroidered lockets on chains and rest in basket beds of their own.
Bitsy & Tipsy Champagne Dogs: Based on Willa Heart’s Bitsy and Tipsy painting, these pedigreed pink pooches are always ready to celebrate. Handcrafted from 100% merino wool and embroidered on both sides in pink, green, and gold, they perch on embroidered green cushions finished with gold rope trim and four sassy green tassels. Look closely: Bitsy is serving the bubbly while Tipsy is ready to toast!
Our proprietary embroidery technique gives these ornaments dimensional texture and visual interest - you can't help but reach out and touch the smooth embroidery and the soft merino wool. And since they're filled with soft batting, these are ornaments you won't have to stress about not making it from one year to the next.
Each ornament is crafted exclusively for us in India from merino wool fabric we import from the Netherlands. We'll be adding new designs to this collectible series each year, making early pieces particularly special. If these girls speak to you, don't hesitate! Created in collaboration with Alyssa Harris of Willa Heart, whose original art features personality-filled animals with saturated colors and graphic patterns in a perfect cocktail of Southern charm, Palm Beach chic, and East Coast prep. A common theme in Aly's work is pairs of pups inspired by English porcelain Staffordshire dogs - each with their own ironic expression and individual quirks.
