Richard Scarry introduced the world to Busytown in 1963, when he published The Best Word Book Ever, the book that set the style he'd build on for the rest of his career. He'd bought his own Tyrolean hat years earlier, on a trip through the Alps, and later gave one just like it to a little worm who would become one of his most enduring characters. Scarry kept creating in and around Busytown for the rest of his life, working from a small studio in Switzerland, and today his son Huck carries the stories forward, including new adventures for Lowly Worm himself.
This unique sweater marks the start of our collaboration with Richard Scarry's Busy World. It is produced in limited quantities, with the highest attention to detail and quality, ensuring it will become an heirloom treasured for years to come.
Take a look at the last image for a size guide. This style runs true to size, but we suggest going up one size for an oversized fit or longer wear. Children's sizes correspond to the child's age (the Y stands for years), so for an average three year old order a 2-3Y, or a 4-5Y if you would like room to grow!
This sweater is 100% cotton, so it is comfortable in the spring and fall can be layered over other clothing in the winter for more warmth.
This style is machine washable in cold water, and we recommend laying flat to dry.
