Blue and White Striped Organdy Party Dress, Size 12-14 Years

This exquisite dress reminds us of what a young Mary Poppins might wear. The blue and white striped bodice features rows of tiny pintucks which end in a basque waist. Twenty three tiny shell buttons trim the front. The full cotton organdy skirt has two bias flanges with bows made from the same striped organdy as the bodice, creating a charming gingham effect. The dress is beautifully made, the fabric is sheer and light as air. We have added a separate white cotton underskirt which is included with purchase.

Please note - the waist is quite small, please check the measurements before purchasing. It measures 33" around the chest, 24.5" around the waist and is 33" long from center back neck to hem, which correlates to a modern size 12-14 years. 

In overall good vintage condition with no noticeable flaws or marks. The dress has no brand label, but the level of craftsmanship and design sophistication lead us to think it was custom made by a skilled dressmaker for some lucky girl. 

Buttons up the back and closes with five flower shaped shell buttons.
